Designer Travel confirms 2021 overseas conference

Designer Travel has confirmed plans for its 2021 overseas conference in Spain.

The company will be first UK travel agency to be welcomed at the Ikos Andalusia on the Costa Del Sol.

The event is to be held on April 21-25 with airline seats about to be booked.

The Lancashire-based company, set up by former Co-operative Travel directors Amanda Matthews and Karen Pocock in 2008, has more than 100 homeworkers.

The business has expanded during Covid having recruited an additional 20 homeworkers since June.

Managing director Matthews said: “After nine long months of dealing with Covid this is such a bright light on the horizon.

“We have committed to flights and, all things being equal, we will be packing our cases and venturing off to experience all things Ikos.

“Our luxury travel business has always been firmly committed to an annual overseas conference in a luxury resort and Ikos Andalusia fits the bill perfectly.

“A few years ago IKOS Olivia did the most amazing job of welcoming us to Halkidiki and we are beyond excited to get to visit this new resort and to meet up with the team in person once again.”
