Crystal replaces west Africa programme with new sailings

Crystal has replaced four cruises along the west of Africa with a series of 10 to 15-night voyages on Crystal Endeavor covering destinations in Antarctica, South America and Europe.

More than 30 ports across nine countries are included in the itineraries, which also feature extended stays and several overnight calls in Spanish ports Malaga, Seville, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto Del Rosario.

The new voyages are now on sale and will run from March 1 to April 29, 2022.

A 14-night South Georgia Wildlife Expedition & Uruguay itinerary from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Canary Islands & Madeira Archipelago Discovery cruise from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Lisbon are among the new sailings added to Crystal Endeavor’s programme. Prices for the 10-night cruise start from $9,999.

Crystal Endeavor will also operate a 10-night Seville, Andalucía & Balearic Islands Discovery sailing from Lisbon to Barcelona. The lead-in price is $11,999.

The line decided to cancel the cruises to west Africa due to the “ongoing uncertainty of the Omicron variant and its potential impact within the region”.

Crystal Endeavor will continue with its previously published schedule from April 29, 2022, before returning to Antarctica in November 2022.

Crystal president Jack Anderson said: “We are very pleased that our talented itinerary planning team was able to create these immersive new sailings aboard the new Crystal Endeavor.

“We wish to thank our valued guests and travel partners for their patience and understanding. We made these changes in an abundance of caution as the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and crew are always our top priority.”
