Colombia to host virtual travel week

Agents have been encouraged to sign up for ProColombia’s European Virtual Week.

The event has been created as Colombian tourism bodies look to connect with European agents and tour operators to push future travel to the destination.

The event will be held between October 19-23 and is open to those in the leisure and MICE sectors.

Flavia Santoro, president of ProColombia, said: “Welcoming back some international flights and travellers is a big step in the right direction as we strive to resume our tourism activities in the safest way possible.

“In the meantime, Colombia’s Virtual Week will provide leisure and meeting industries across Europe, a timely opportunity to reaffirm and reinstate connections with Colombia’s tourism representatives and suppliers. The exciting programme looks to keep Colombia front of mind amongst Europe’s travel leisure and MICE industries, ensuring they are well equipped for a ‘quick start’ as soon as it is viable.”

The event includes panel and leadership sessions, case studies, leadership sessions one-to-one B2B meetings.
