Carrier restructures sales team and recruits agent Emma Frearson

Luxury tour operator Carrier has recruited Emma Frearson into its agency sales team.

Frearson, who is currently an agent, will take on the newly created role of account manager for the Midlands and North. She joins the business in June and will be responsible for the midlands, the north of England, Scotland and Ireland.

Her appointment comes following the departure of national partnerships manager Raj Mistry.

Frearson joins from The Personal Travel Agents where she operated her own luxury travel business and serviced a portfolio of high-net-worth clients.

Carrier said Frearson had worked closely with Carrier during her time as an agent, “experiencing first-hand how the tour operator cares for its clients and travel agent partners”.

Head of sales Rick Milne said Mistry’s departure provided the brand with an opportunity to review its agency sales teams structure to best meet the needs of its agent partners.

He said the review highlighted the need to build and maintain strong engagement as a top priority, resulting in the decision to recruit an account manager.

Milne added: "Within the agency sales team, we have access to one of, if not the, most experienced and well-respected teams in luxury travel. “There's over 100 years of combined expertise and Emma joins us with an absolute wealth of experience as a luxury travel agent.

“Her endorsement of Carrier couldn't be more powerful; as an agent, Emma trusted us to look after her best clients for many years. Now, she has taken the bold decision to wind down her own successful and well-established business to take on this role - it just shows how much she believes in the brand. Her passion and deep understanding of luxury travel from an agent's perspective makes her the perfect addition to complement our existing team."
