A new flight route has been established to connect Saint Lucia and the island of Bequia.

Bequia Air, a sister brand to Bequia Beach Hotel, will introduce the new weekly service on January 20. It will run every Wednesday until March 10. 

The route means guests travelling from London, Miami, New York and Atlanta can have a same-day connection to Bequia from Saint Lucia. It also offers greater flexibility for twin-centre trips. 

The flight from Bequia to Saint Lucia lasts just 15 minutes. It will depart Bequia at 2pm each Wednesday, with the return flight departing Saint Lucia at 4.30pm.

The existing Barbados to Bequia route remains, with the private jet company claiming its offering is 50% faster than local carriers. With a later departure time, it also accommodates delays and late arrivals into Barbados.

Both flight routes cost $649 return of $399 one way.
