Belmond’s Royal Scotsman reveals new Dior spa

The Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, Scotland has unveiled a new spa in partnership with Dior Beauty.

The Dior Spa Royal Scotsman is set across one carriage and features two lacquered treatment rooms, restyled with Dior’s iconic burgundy toile de Jouy motif.

A new bespoke wellbeing menu features three tailor-made treatments devised by the French fashion brand’s wellness experts to cater to the specific needs of train guests.

Belmond said the spa offers guests “a tranquil space to unwind” and a “truly immersive Scottish experience”.

The Royal Scotsman has also added two new journeys to its 2023 schedule.

These include an “adrenaline-filled” Highland Survival Adventure in partnership with luxury adventure travel experts WILDNIS, which will run between June 30 and July 3. The three-night itinerary will feature several outdoor challenges in secluded locations across the Western Highlands, including a modern-day Royal Marines Commando Assault Training programme, abseiling, wild swimming and lessons in how to survive in the wild.

The second new journey, A Taste of Scotland with Tom Kitchen, will be hosted by the award-winning chef on September 4-6. The two-night itinerary through the Scottish Highlands will showcase his ‘From Nature-to-Plate’ culinary philosophy and will include a wine masterclass, whisky tasting, country pursuits and an exclusive lunch at Rothiemurchus Estate in the Cairngorms National Park, and a gala dinner.
