Belmond launches 'My Love Letter to Italy' campaign

d’s has partnered with an Emmy award-nominated director on its latest campaign to reflect the brand’s presence in Italy. 

The short film, entitled My Love Letter to Italy, has been written, directed and narrated by director Francesco Carrozzini. The film comes out just days ahead of the reopening of Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice and Belmond Hotel Splendido, which both open their doors on June 19. 

Belmond Hotel Caruso and Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo will follow on July 1; Belmond Castello di Casole on July 2 and Belmond Villa San Michele on July 23. 

Belmond has created a series of experiences that celebrate all things Italy, such as hiking tours around the hills of Mount Etna and bike tours of Sant’Erasmo Island in Venice. 

Carrozzini, who has created music videos for artists including Jay Z, Beyonce and Lenny Kravtiz, said: “I have been staying at Belmond hotels for as long as I can remember and, as an Italian, I always felt they captured the true spirit of Italy. 

“During lockdown I kept dreaming of the Italian summer and I was longing to go back home. Now more than ever, I appreciate what I had too often taken for granted about Italy - its food, its beauty and of course, its people. I made this film to capture that feeling, to make us Italians fall in love with Italy all over again.”
