Azamara to resume cruise operations in Greece

Azamara plans to resume cruise operations on August 28, with five back-to-back voyages in Greece and a Mediterranean sailing.

All six sailings on Azamara Quest are seven days long. They include 18 late-night port stays in destinations such as Santorini, Rhodes and Heraklion, Greece.

Voyages will go on sale on May 11, 2021.

Azamara president Carol Cabezas said: “There’s no better way to return to service than in a country Azamara knows best, Greece.

“Our return to sail wouldn’t be possible without the support from minister Harry Theoharis, the local government and port authorities.”

Theoharis added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Azamara and its guests in Greece in August.”

Azamara Quest’s previously scheduled sailings have now been suspended until October 2, 2021.

Sailings on Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit have been suspended until September 2021.

Passengers affected by these deployment decisions will be “offered a number of flexible options to rebook or [can] request refunds for current reservations,” the line said.

The line requires all passengers to be fully vaccinated no later than 14 days before departure.

More Covid safety measures will be announced by the line once Quest’s new sailings go on sale next month.
