Avalon Waterways introduces Eastern European destinations to 2021 sailings

River cruise line Avalon Waterways is introducing new sailings for 2021 featuring Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.

Six additional destinations will feature, including the Black Sea port city of Constanta in Romania (pictured above), Ilok in Croatia and Golubac in Serbia.

The company’s expanded 2021 River Danube itineraries range from nine-days from Bucharest to Zagreb to 16 days from Deggendorf in Bavaria to Bucharest.

Chief executive Giles Hawke said: “On our all-new Balkan Odyssey cruise, travellers will embark on an adventure along the Danube and Drava rivers for an unforgettable journey through time and tradition.

“This itinerary is perfectly book-ended with two nights in both Bucharest and Zagreb and represents our Danube expansion, giving travellers more ports and more possibilities for their river cruise exploration.”
