Another stunner joins Oetker Collection
The 16-residence retreat occupies an entire private island and guests have their pick of seven beaches.
The residences range from 400 to 700 square meters and are secluded from one another.
Each has a terrace, large infinity pool and Jacuzzi.
Other than its beaches the island is covered in lush forest, rare protected fauna and is home to the world’s second largest population of Giant Aldabra land tortoises.
Many birds also take up permanent or temporary residence on the island which is also the nesting home to endangered turtle species.
Organic vegetables and fruits are grown on the island’s plantation for hotel guests and the line of Rock Spa products, named after the hotel spa facilities, is made from the plants harvested on site.
Chief executive Frank Marrenbach said: “Fregate Island Private is in perfect harmony with the requirements of Oetker Collection: exceptional environmental settings, overall wellbeing, exquisite décor and incomparable service.
