AmaWaterways to add new ship to European fleet

AmaWaterways will add a new ship to its European fleet next year.

The 156-passenger vessel, which will launch in July 2020, will sail a variety of seven, 10 and 11-night itineraries along the Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube.

Like its sister ships – AmaMora, AmaLea and AmaKristina – AmaSiena will feature inter-connecting rooms. In total, the vessel will have 78 staterooms, including six inter-connecting rooms.

The ship also has four suites and 12 triple occupancy staterooms designed for multi-generational families.

Additional amenities include a heated Sun Deck swimming pool with a swim-up bar, massage and beauty salon services.

In addition to AmaSiena, the line will have 19 other ships in Europe, two in Asia and one in Africa.

Prices start from £2,584 for the seven-night Captivating Rhine cruise on AmaSiena from Amsterdam to Basel, departing in November 2020.

Rudi Schreiner, president and co-founder of AmaWaterways, said: “The popularity of river cruising continues to rise, and with the introduction of AmaSiena, we’re happy to be bringing more of our brand of personalised, luxury river cruising to our guests.

“AmaSiena will feature the exceptional cuisine, variety of active shore excursions, world-class service and of course, some innovative touches that travellers have come to expect each time we introduce a new ship to our fleet.”

“We are excited to have a beautiful new ship like AmaSiena with many cruises through one of my personal favourite areas along the Moselle river,” said Kristin Karst, the line’s executive vice president and co-founder.
