Air Charter Service unveils solar eclipse experience

Air Charter Service will host a solar eclipse flight viewing experience on April 20, 2023, giving passengers the chance to witness the natural phenomenon from above the clouds.

The flight will take place over north western Australia’s Coral Coast, identified as the optimal point to observe the eclipse.

The round-trip departs and lands at Perth airport and lasts approximately three hours in total. The private aircraft will fly up the coast offering views of the Indian Ocean below, before arriving at a prime viewing spot over the ocean. The eclipse will last just over one minute.

The experience will take place on a Boeing 737. Both business and economy seats are available and meals and drinks will be included.

Passengers will be seated on one side of the aircraft to maximise viewing opportunities.

Air Charter Service said the offering is one of many experiential travel events aimed at specific markets, which will be sold and promoted via travel trade partners.

Group travel services director Caroline Wood said: “This special flight is the first of a series that we will be arranging to observe the total solar eclipse in April 2023. The additional flights will feature variations on the Perth round trip and we are thrilled to be sharing details on these exciting offerings.

“This Australian eclipse flight is a fantastic example of our many special experiential travel events aimed at specific markets, which Air Charter Service will be selling and promoting via its travel trade partners. We’d be delighted to discuss the opportunity to partner with both travel agents and tour operators to sell our products.”
