Advantage set out their luxury stall last week with their first ever Luxury Connoisseur conference.

Close to 50 Luxury Connoisseurs (individuals within Advantage members specialising in luxury travel) attended the event held at the ME London hotel, which will open to the public on December 1.

The agents were joined by 15 destination management companies representing more than 25 countries, nine luxury tour operators and 20 luxury hotels for market, hotel and LC scheme development updates.

Speakers included Steve Rushton of Net Effect, editor of Aspire Rupert Murray and supplier and membership manager at Advantage Hotels Jenny Bullock.

She said: “Now that we have established a significant network of preferred DMCs it’s great to bring them together for the first time with our Luxury Connoisseurs, hotel partners and selected luxury tour operators to ensure members have all the resources they need to make the most of this lucrative and wide-ranging market.”

Advantage has seen its revenues from luxury travel increase by 8.4% over the last year while maintaining steady 13% commission rates.

Luxury Connoisseur was created to help members best serve the needs of their high-end clients by providing access and working relationships with key upmarket travel providers.? Members at the conference had the opportunity to network with partners and each participated in around 40 appointments across the day.
