Aspire Awards guests raise nearly £3k for Alder Hey Children’s Charity

Guests at this year’s Aspire Awards raised £2,534 for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

 

The Liverpool-based charity is a world-class NHS facility that treats more than 1,200 children every day and supports 450,000 children and young people each year.

 

Since 2013, more than £74 million has been raised for life-saving medical equipment and facilities, helping to improve patients’ lives.

 

The hospital, which has always been at the heart of the community in the northwest, found itself in the national spotlight last month when children injured in a knife attack in Southport were taken to Alder Hey for treatment.

 

“We’re so grateful to everyone at the Aspire Awards for this amazing support – £2,534 will go such a long way in helping us make a real difference here at Alder Hey,” said the charity’s head of corporate partnerships Hayley Thomas.

 

“Donations like this mean we can keep funding those important extras that have a big impact, from specialist equipment to creative therapies that bring comfort and joy to our young patients. Thank you to everyone involved for helping us bring smiles to children and families who need it most – your kindness truly matters.”

 

Jessica Matthews from Swords Travel won a seven-night stay in a villa in Corfu courtesy of a generous incentive from CV Villas, which supported the charity appeal for the second year running.
