Star Clippers is set to host 15 agents on its biggest UK fam trip to date.

The eight-night sailing this month from Malaga to Rome on Star Flyer will feature guests from agencies including The Cruise Village, Miles Morgan Travel, The Travel Bureau, Deva Travel, Iglu, Glen Travel, Gates Travel and Peakes Travel.

The 166-capacity ship will depart Malaga on April 26 and arrive in Rome on May 4, with calls at Motril, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Mahón and Bonifacio (Corsica).

Fay McCormack, general manager of Star Clippers in the UK, said: “Providing travel agents with the opportunity to experience a Star Clippers sailing first-hand is the ultimate way to educate industry partners about our unique product.

“We are delighted by the interest and enthusiasm for this upcoming trip and are excited for the agents’ experiences to be shared with new potential guests.”

A group of four agents will embark in Malaga, with another four stepping on board in Motril the next day. They will all sail to Palma together before flying home on April 30.

A further seven agents will join the ship for the journey from Palma to Rome.

The hosts will be Nicola Cox, regional sales manager for the south, and her counterpart for the north Alison Jared.

Star Clippers operates three of the world’s largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels.

The two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper, take 166 guests each, with a crew of 74, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.
