Serandipians to expand conference to three destinations next year

Luxury travel network Serandipians has revealed plans to expand its annual conference to three new destinations in 2025.

The Essence of Phuket will be held from March 3-7, The Essence of Panama from May 12-16 and The Essence of Sardinia from September 22-26.

Serandipians made the announcement during its annual The Essence of Luxury conference in Marbella on March 18.

Having previously held the event in one location for 10 years, the brand said the expansion represented the growth of its global community, which comprises 570 member agencies in 74 countries.

A total of 222 member agencies (39%) are in Europe, 44 of which are UK-based.

Founder and chief executive Quentin Desurmont said: “The reason behind [the expansion] is because we are truly international so we cannot only be centred in Europe. We’re very excited and the team have been working for 18 months on making this happen.”

The three events will have a “similar short format” to previous ‘The Essence’ events, which involve 10-minute one-to-one sessions between agents and suppliers.

Hotel partners for the 2025 events include SAii Laguna Phuket, Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama City, and Forte Village Resort in Sardinia.

In April, members of Serandipians – which rebranded from Traveller Made in 2021 – will receive a questionnaire to gauge which event they would like to attend.

“We have an idea of who’s going to go where but this feedback will allow us to fine-tune the event and know exactly what our agents need,” said Desurmont.

Invites will be sent to members in October.
