Scenic expands Japan 2023 programme for Eclipse

Scenic has expanded its Japan 2023 programme for discovery yacht Scenic Eclipse, due to “ongoing demand for the destination”.

Additional sailings have been added to the programme, including three new itineraries visiting more than six maiden ports of call across Japan and the Aleutian Islands, including Hachinohe, Shimizu, Muroran and Sakaiminato.

The 228-passenger ship’s new itineraries include the Cultural Wonders of Japan, and sails from Otaru to Busan, South Korea, and calls at Hakodate, Aomori, Sado Island, Kanazawa, Maizuru, Sakaiminato and Hagi.

The lead-in price for the 12-day itinerary departing June 2, 2023 is £8,630.

Elsewhere, the Iconic Japan: Sacred Cultures & Natures Voyage itinerary sails from Busan to Otaru, calling at Matsuyama, Shingu, Shimizu, Tokyo and Hachinohe and Muroran.

The itinerary includes the line’s new Scenic Enrich excursion where guests can attend a Shinto ceremony.

The lead-in price for the 12-day itinerary departing June 11, 2023 is £9,080.

And the Japan and Aleutian Islands Voyage sails from Otaru to Nome, Alaska and calls at 14 volcanic and 55 smaller Aleutian Islands.

The lead-in price for the 21-day itinerary departing July 11, 2023 is £14,215.
