Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection delays Evrima launch again

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has pushed back the launch of its first yacht to the middle of October.

Evrima has been hit by a series of setbacks during its construction, which had initially been scheduled to be completed by February 2020.

The soon-to-launch yacht operator confirmed Evrima, which has 149 suites on board, will now launch from Barcelona on October 15.

Ongoing global supply chain challenges and “the unprecedented delay” of materials necessary for the final stage of construction were blamed for the delay by the line.

The line added it would be contacting affected guests and agents, who would be offered the choice between rescheduling their voyage or requesting a refund.

Two more new-build superyachts – Ilma and Luminara – are scheduled to join the Ritz-Carlton fleet in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
