Four properties are set to join luxury hotel association Relais & Chateaux this summer.
Members include new property Xitan Hotel (pictured) in Beijing, China, which is scheduled to open in September 2021.
The property is situated on a 500-year-old site on the ruins of a village dating from the Ming dynasty and features cuisine from Chef Guozhu Liu, the first chef in Beijing to earn three Michelin stars.
Relais & Chateaxu has also welcomed Turks and Caicos resort Meridian Club Pine Cay; Les Étangs de Corot in Ville-d'Avray, France and Michelin-starred restaurant Schote in Essen, Germany.
Meridian Club Pine Cay features 11 rooms and two cottages on a private 800-acre island on the Turks and Caicos archipelago of the British West Indies.
The property centres around its Casa Club for owners and guests and features a number of sustainable initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, electric transportation and solar panels.
At Les Étangs de Corot, 15 minutes from Paris and five minutes from Versailles, guests will find 43 rooms featuring antique furniture, a spa opening onto the outdoors and fresh cuisine utilising vegetables from the King’s Garden.
The property has been closed for several months of renovation and is slated to reopen in September.
Fine dining German restaurant Schote is the fourth property to join Relais & Chateaux, run by chef Nelson Müller and offering "decidedly modern" cuisine.
