Regent chooses Seven Seas Splendor for 2027 World Cruise

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has chosen Seven Seas Splendor to host the 2027 World Cruise, meaning guests can travel in the “most exclusive address at sea” – a suite costing £1.3 million for two.

Seven Seas Splendor, among Regent’s newest ships and one of three in the Explorer Class, will sail from Miami in January 2027 for a total of 140 nights.

The World of Splendor cruise, with 71 ports of call, will travel to 40 countries on six continents and will feature 14 overnight stays and visits to 73 Unesco World Heritage Sites.

It will be the first time that Seven Seas Splendor has hosted Regent’s World Cruise, giving guests the chance to book the Regent Suite priced at £671,239 per person.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises president Andrea DeMarco said: “This will be the first time a World Cruise will sail on board one of our magnificent Explorer-Class ships, Seven Seas Splendor, which was launched in 2020 and offers the highest standards of unrivalled luxury, and featuring the one-of-a-kind, 4,443-square-foot Regent Suite.”

The Regent Suite, on the 14th deck, features unobstructed 270-degree views over the ship’s bow.

Described as one of the largest suites ever constructed on a luxury cruise ship, the Regent Suite has its own spa retreat with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Guests will also be served by a butler, while having access to a full bar set-up and personal car and driver in every port.

The hand-crafted Hästens Vividus mattress and bed are worth more than $200,000.

In designing the 2027 World Cruise, Regent took into account continued demand for trips further afield of longer durations.

Fares start at £77,199 per guest for a Veranda Suite, while prices for a slightly shorter journey of 126 nights range from £68,369 per guest up to £600,909 per guest. The shorter trip is from Miami to Rome (Civitavecchia).

Before boarding Seven Seas Splendor for the 2027 World Cruise on January 11, guests will have a one-night pre-cruise stay in a luxury hotel in Miami and an exclusive pre-cruise gala.

In addition to the 486 free shore excursions, a further three exclusive shoreside events will be held in Panama City; Colombo, Sri Lanka; and Málaga.

With Seven Seas Splendor hosting the 2027 World Cruise, more suites will be on sale compared with the 2026 edition.

The ship, which is the sister to Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Grandeur, holds no more than 746 guests and is described as having one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the industry.

A total of 548 professional crew members will be on the 735-foot vessel, which will also carry 13,000lb of lobster, 14,000lb of fillet mignon, 3,600lb of smoked salmon and 150lb of caviar.

There will also be 58,000 bottles of wine on board in 200 varieties, including 14,000 bottles of champagne.

The 2027 World Cruise opens for reservations on April 10, 2024, but guests can ‘pre-register’ from March 27, 2024.
