Raffles to open second property in Saudi Arabia

Raffles Hotels and Resorts is set to open its second property in Saudi Arabia located in mountain ski destination Trojena.

The opening is in collaboration with Neom, an urban development area in north-western Saudi Arabia in which Trojena is one of 10 planned ‘regions’ alongside The Line, Oxagon and Sindalah.

Raffles Trojena will open in 2027 and will be located in ‘the Discover cluster’, one of six distinct areas that make up the region.

The Discover cluster is also home to the Discovery Tower which features an open-air museum, a panoramic viewpoint known as the Observatory and the Cosmic Gate, a stargazing camp and astronomical park.

The ring-shaped, mountainside property will have 105 rooms around the perimeter which offer “unobstructed vistas and privacy.”

The ground level of the property will be home to circular zones and gardens that “encourage exploration and discovery.”

Chief executive of Raffles Hotels and Resorts, Omer Acar, said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Neom on the creation of Raffles Trojena, an architecturally significant resort that will showcase the very best in modern luxury hospitality and underscores Raffles’ commitment to growing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
