Not Just Travel sees January sales soar to record level

Not Just Travel has reported a record January with the final two days of the month being the biggest ever sales days in the company’s 22-year history.

Revenue and holiday bookings last month rose by 41% and 32% respectively year on year, as the homeworking franchise business was boosted by a surge in sales after the first payday of this year.

Paul Harrison, Not Just Travel co-founder, attributed the success to a combination of more agents and productivity, thanks to investment in training and support for franchisees.

“We have been continuously planning and upskilling our consultants precisely for this formidable time in the travel industry’s history,” he said.

“Some people thought holiday bookings in 2024 might not reach the same levels as last year as pent-up demand following the pandemic would dampen down.

“However, trading so far has been the best in our history and many agents report it’s getting even busier.

“We are really proud of them, as 98% are new to travel yet are finding customers, making bookings and earning money in a really short time period.”

Co-founder Steve Witt added: “We’ve seen phenomenal sales just after the first payday in 2024 as pent-up demand has exploded.

“Consumers aren’t scrimping on holidays as they want each trip to be truly memorable.”

Not Just Travel has also reported its biggest ever increase in the number of trading consultants in one month, with more than 100 additional consultants becoming active in a single month.

The average booking value is up 7% year on year to £4,308 and the top destinations in January are Spain, Greece, US, Turkey and Italy.

Harrison cited several examples of individual successes, including Natalie Downey who completed her virtual training in early January and booked £28,000-worth of holidays in under two weeks.

“Another of the company’s more established agents made a single big booking worth £119,000 this month,” he continued.

“Additionally, consultant Palvi Harvey, who made nearly £200,000 of bookings in January, stated that 100% of her bookings were repeat customers – a testament to her success and quality of service.”
