New launch date set for Ultima Collection's Courchevel property

Ultima Collection has confirmed its new ski and wellness resort, Ultima Courchevel Belvédère, will open on December 17.

The property was originally due to welcome its first guests in December 2020, but its opening was delayed due to the pandemic.

Located on Courchevel’s sunny Belvédère slopes, between Courchevel 1850 and La Rosière forest, the resort features 13 four and five-bedroom private chalets, categorised into three types - Grand, Prestige and Signature - based on their size and service levels.

Each chalet features a fully equipped kitchen, expansive living space, floor-to-ceiling windows, a lift and access to an in-house designer ski store. Bedrooms offer an ensuite bathroom, dressing room and balcony or direct outdoor access.

Guests can decide to be completely self-catered (albeit with access to Ultima’s luxury concierge) or opt for the ‘full experience’, which comes with a dedicated ski butler, massage therapist, transfers to Courchevel 1850 and home-cooked breakfasts.

The resort’s spa area comprises treatment rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, hammam, Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness room and beauty salon. Bespoke treatments and programmes with wellness experts are available on request alongside products from Swiss wellness brand, Swiss Perfection.

Ultima Courchevel Belvédère also features a gourmet restaurant and terrace and is a seven-minute drive away from the city’s bars and restaurants.

The property’s location in Europe’s largest ski region, Les Trois Vallées, affords guests access to over 600km of maintained pistes. Ultima’s guides and instructors are available to lead ski excursions, while the wider team can create bespoke experiences for non-skiers.

Ultima Courchevel Belvédère is accessed by car or private transfer from Geneva and Lyon international airports. Private jet and helicopter transfers can also be arranged to Courchevel Altiport and Chambéry Aerodrome.

Ultima Collection’s managing partner Michala Chatel said: “Last year we were reminded how special an annual ski break can be to a family or group of friends.

“The grand opening this December will signal a joyous moment for many. As is the case for the rest of our collection, our guests can expect the utmost levels of privacy and elegance in the mountains.”
