Mandarin Oriental to open second London property

ntal is set to manage a new luxury hotel in London’s Hanover Square.

The property, to be called Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, is expected to open in 2021, and will have 50 guestroom and suites.

It will be Mandarin Oriental’s second London property and comes following a major refurbishment of the original one in Kensington, pictured above.

The site will also have 80 residences, as well as a restaurant, lobby lounge, bar and a roof top bar with a terrace overlooking Mayfair.

James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental, said: “We are delighted to be opening a second Mandarin Oriental property in London, and look forward to extending the group’s legendary hospitality to another of the city’s most exclusive addresses.

“Operating two complementary hotels in a single destination is something that the group has already done successfully in Hong Kong.
