Jumeirah Group unveils new Maldives property

Jumeirah Group is to open an all-villa luxury resort in the Maldives’ North Male Atoll on October 1, 2021.

Jumeirah Maldives offers 67 beach and overwater villas in one-, two- and three bedroom configurations. Each features a private infinity pool, large rooftop terrace with a dedicated dining area and panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The three-bedroom villas also boast their own gym.

The property was designed by Singaporean design studio, Miaja, and features a 'modern Mediterranean' design in keeping with its natural environment. Villas feature oversized windows, textured walls, local artworks and handcrafts, and Jumeirah’s signature amenities and bedding.

Restaurants celebrate Mediterranean and Nikkei flavours and include Shimmer, a casual alfresco dining venue with ocean views, a resident DJ and regular live music performances, and Kayto, which features an open kitchen.

A Talise Spa offers six overwater treatment rooms and a range of therapeutic treatments and yoga classes.

Guests can enjoy an array of activities including water sports, beach volleyball, billiards and tennis. There is also a waterpark and indoor play area for children, as well as a beachside outdoor cinema which will screen blockbusters and family favourites.

Alternative experiences include underwater photography, planting coconut trees, making coconut oil or taking a submarine tour of the local marine life.

A team of dedicated butlers will be available around the clock to take care of reservations, check-in, dining and spa bookings.

José Silva, chief executive officer of Jumeirah Group, said: “The Maldives is a much-loved getaway for travellers from around the world and Jumeirah Maldives is a destination that delivers on our brand promise of Stay Different.

“The resort offers unparalleled hospitality with a genuine flair that exceeds guest expectations, while pushing the limits of design, culinary and service expertise.

“A truly breath-taking addition to the brand’s portfolio, Jumeirah Group’s new home in the Maldives guarantees an immaculate guest experience right from the very moment they set foot in our new contemporary resort.”

Jumeirah Group currently operates 24 properties across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, with more resorts under construction.
