Jacobs Media Group completes Online Travel Training acquisition

Travel Weekly parent Jacobs Media Group has completed the acquisition of Online Travel Training.

The deal includes all OTT’s assets, including 14 employees and contractors, and will see the training specialist continue to trade as Online Travel Training within the JMG portfolio.

The conclusion of the sale follows the announcement that an acquisition had been agreed on November 7.

OTT has a range of clients in the sector, including airlines, tourist boards, tourist attractions, hotels and tour operators, providing bespoke training courses, virtual events, webinars, incentives and rewards for staff in the industry.

JMG said the acquisition would allow the brand to continue to focus on delivering market-leading training services for the industry while creating opportunities to “integrate and supercharge the products it offers”.

Clive Jacobs, chairman of JMG, said: “I am delighted we have been able to conclude the deal for OTT and bring it into our family of brands. It instantly strengthens our market-leading B2B portfolio across our travel and hospitality arms in the UK and overseas.”

He added: “I am also pleased that the acquisition has brought certainty and security to OTT’s outstanding team of staff and contractors, and I look forward to welcoming them as we look forward to a very bright future together.”
