Emerald Cruises completes keel-laying for second yacht

el-laying ceremony for Emerald Cruises’ incoming vessel has been held at a shipyard in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.

The 100-passenger Emerald Sakara will be the sister yacht to Emerald Azzurra and is due to launch in 2023.

Following Emerald Sakara’s maiden voyage in the Seychelles, it will offer voyages in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red and Black Seas alongside Emerald Azzurra.

The line said 88% of the yacht’s cabins will have balconies and “more space per guest than similar vessels of her size”.

An infinity pool, spa, gym, and marina platform will also feature on the ship.

Prices for an eight-day Mediterranean Enrichment sailing, departing from Piraeus, Greece, on April 15, 2023, lead in from £3,613, with onboard meals, wines, beers and soft drinks and on-board activities included.

Scenic Group owner Glen Moroney said passenger demand had given the line confidence to build the sister yacht to Emerald Azzurra.
