Cunard claims record agent response to win a place on Queen Anne

A record-breaking 5,626 Cunard bookings were submitted via 856 individual travel agents in an inventive to win a place on new ship Queen Anne.

Of the total number of Cunard Fare bookings made within the competition window, more than 90% were entered into the draw – the best uptake the line has seen for an agent competition.

A total of 135 winners, chosen at random, will be informed via Cunard’s dedicated trade team today (Monday).

The line hailed the response as its most successful agent incentive to date.

The competition gave agents the opportunity to win a place on Queen Anne’s operational test overnight in Southampton on April 29.

Agents had to register their interest via the Shine Rewards Club loyalty and rewards scheme, with all subsequent bookings counted as an entry.

Global marketing and EMEA sales vice president Angus Struthers said: “The excitement for the much-anticipated arrival of Queen Anne is growing by the day and the phenomenal engagement with the competition proved that our valued agent partners are feeling the same way.

“With just over six weeks to go, we can’t wait to welcome the winners on board.

“They can experience everything you’d expect from Cunard, from our signature venues and an enhanced wellness offering, to exciting new spaces such as the Bright Lights Society.”
