Classic Collection launches Maldives selling guide

Classic Collection Holidays has launched a guide to the Maldives, designed to be a “comprehensive selling tool” for the trade.

Agents can use the 44-page guide in printed or digital format to sell the destination with “complete confidence”, said the operator.

Alex Gavalda, product and commercial director, said: “Handling Maldives enquiries can be a daunting prospect for agents. This is not necessarily a destination which all agents will have visited or be familiar with.

“The vast number of resorts, different styles and price points, and frequent new openings can prove bewildering.

“The specialist guidance and expertise contained within the guide will allow our trade partners to demonstrate excellent customer service in dealing confidently and knowledgeably with enquiries, and to reap the rewards of the enhanced commission associated with these high-value bookings.”

The guide highlights the most suitable resorts for families, adults and couples, and features health and wellbeing holidays, diving, snorkelling, all-inclusive options, villas and exclusive private island hire.

Gavalda added: “Maldives enquiries and bookings have remained strong for us despite the challenges of the last 18 months.

“We’ve recruited additional experienced sales team members to service all our enquiries as quickly as possible and to meet the expected uplift in demand once transit destinations open up, such as Dubai, giving increased flight capacity and more twin-centre options.”

To coincide with the launch of the guide, the operator is offering an additional incentive of £50 on all Maldives bookings made from September 13 until October 10.

The guide can be downloaded from the Classic Collection website. Printed copies can be ordered through Tradegate and will be available from September 20.
