Carrier to donate Black Friday profits to charity

Carrier has pledged to donate all Black Friday profits to charity partner Professors without Borders (PROWIBO) instead of offering deals.

The luxury tour operator said it would be using Black Friday, which takes place today (November 26), as “an opportunity to give back”.

PROWIBO aims to facilitate international teacher mobility and provide students all over the globe with a dedicated, professional and inspiring learning environment that equips them for success in later life.

Carrier's goal is to cover the organisation’s travel costs in full in 2022 so that PROWIBO can continue to send lecturers to their programmes around the world.

Money raised will help to widen PROWIBO’s reach and support their goals to offer more summer schools to institutions.

A statement from the tour operator said: “Carrier is passionate about increasing knowledge of the world and PROWIBO’s philosophy is to champion knowledge around the world.

“Their ambition is to create a global community of academics and professionals to share their expertise with students everywhere.”
