Barbados extends national Covid curfew

The government of Barbados has extended its national curfew to September 25 “due to the evolving nature of the Covid-19 pandemic”.

A bulletin from Visit Barbados said the curfew is in effect from 9pm to 5am on Monday-Saturday, and from 6pm to 5am on Sunday.

During this curfew, no gatherings are allowed. Restaurants are allowed to operate until 8:30pm, while fast-food restaurants are only allowed to do delivery or drive through.

No contact and team sports are permitted.

The bulletin from the tourist board said: “During this time, please be advised businesses’ opening hours may change. The Government of Barbados continues to work closely with both private and public sector entities to ensure necessary operations continue safely and efficiently.”
