B2B events specialist Connections to host third Seoul edition

Travel trade events specialist Connections Luxury is to host its third event in Seoul in June.

The third edition of Connections Luxury Seoul will run in partnership with Seoul Metropolitan Government from June 23-26 and will showcase the destination’s luxury-focused product to 30 selected global travel buyers.

Travel Weekly sister brand Connections specialises in fusing business meetings with memorable local experiences, and will offer activities which showcase Korean gastronomy, music and culture.

Global travel buyers who attend will also have the opportunity to join a post-event fam trip.

Kim YoungHwan, director general of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Sports and Tourism Bureau, said: “As we look towards 2024 and beyond, Connections Luxury Seoul plays a key role in our efforts to position Seoul as a premier destination for discerning luxury travellers. The ‘Connections Way’ of conducting business has consistently proven its effectiveness and previous successes reflect this.

“By showcasing Seoul’s unique blend of tradition and modernity, we aim to strengthen our city’s presence on the global luxury travel stage. We are confident that this event will foster valuable business relationships and significantly enhance inbound tourism to our vibrant city.”

Saadia Chowdhury, head of buyer recruitment for Connections Luxury, added: “The increasing demand from our luxury agencies for travel experiences in Seoul underscores the importance of this event.

“By facilitating engaging, experience-based business meetings between global buyers and key players in Seoul’s luxury travel sector, we aim to support the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s tourism objectives, raising the profile of this dynamic city and further cementing its place on the luxury travel map.”
