Aqua Expeditions announces fifth vessel

Small ship line Aqua Expeditions is to expand its fleet with the addition of a super yacht that will sail in the Galapagos Islands next year.

Seven-suite Aqua Mare is scheduled to launch on May 6, 2022, and offer seven-night sailings and two 14-night voyages around the volcanic Pacific Ocean archipelago.

The line’s fifth vessel was designed and built by the Italian CRN yard and has capacity for 16 passengers.

Suites have been individually designed. Aqua Expeditions claims that the vessel’s 80 square-metre Owner’s Suite is the largest passenger room in the Galapagos Islands and that Aqua Mare has “30% more indoor volume than most yachts in her size class”.

The four-deck vessel has open sun decks, a six-person Jacuzzi, an outdoor barbecue area and a workout zone.

Two military-grade black rib tender boats will carry passengers to twice-daily excursions. Each group is capped at eight people.

Double kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling gear will be available on the yacht.

Prices for a seven-night Galapagos Islands itinerary start from £6,908. All meals, drinks, transfers, excursions, laundry and internet are included.

Up to 16 passengers can also charter the vessel for a seven-night sailing, with prices for taking the who vessel starting at £143,305. A masseuse for up to five hours a day is included in the price.
