andBeyond celebrates 30th birthday with limited edition itineraries

Luxury tour operator andBeyond has created three conservation-led limited edition itineraries to celebrate its 30th birthday.

The brand has been committed to conservation and sustainability since its inception in 1991, creating itineraries based on an ethos of Care of the Land, Care of the Wildlife and Care of the People.

The three new journeys will all take place in 2022 and will be led by andBeyond’s top conservation experts.

They include an Impact Journey into South America hosted by andBeyond’s group conservation manager Les Carlisle, featuring an in-depth view of pioneering wildlife projects protecting jaguars and pumas across the Iberá Wetlands and Patagonia’s Torres Del Paine National Park.

The trip runs from October 16-29, 2022 and costs $18,800 per person.

The second limited edition itinerary, Africa’s Greatest Marine Migration Expedition, offers keen divers a chance to experience the annual Sardine Run, a mass movement of sardines along the east coast of South Africa.

The trip is hosted by Oceans Without Borders programme manager and expedition host Dr. Tessa Hempson and will run from June 7-17, 2022. Prices start from $16,000 per person.

The final itinerary highlights a collaboration between andBeyond and African Parks that resulted in the reversal of a 15-year local extinction of lion in Rwanda’s Akagera National Park.

Return of the Lion Expedition is hosted by Simon Naylor, conservation manager at andBeyond Phinda, and Drew Bantlin, conservation manager at Akagera, and explores the conservation challenges of both destinations.

It runs from October 5-14, 2022 and costs $11,950 per person.
