Uniworld managing director ‘super excited’ for India fam

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is preparing to host its biggest-ever fam trip, which will take a total of 50 agents to India from June 4-11.

The line’s managing director, Chris Townson, said: “We’re super excited, but the agents are even more excited.”

He added that the team was particularly looking forward to “rewarding agents who have supported us the most”.

The ultra-luxury seven-night trip will include stays at Oberoi hotels in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, as well as a visit to the Taj Mahal and a three-night sailing on the Ganges River on board Ganges Voyager II.

Around 90% of the group have never visited India before, and three of the agents attending won their spot through a competition, whereby they had to make at least two Uniworld bookings in the first three months of the year.

It will be the biggest trade event or fam trip ever held by the operator, and Townson described it as “a huge investment”, adding that he had “seen sales skyrocket from previous similar, smaller events”.

He said his vision for the trip was to “explore a bucket list destination in style”.
